What We Offer
Ethically raised foods and handcrafted skincare products from our regenerative farm for the greater Chattahoochee Valley area
The birds are fed a non-GMO feed and have access to fresh well water with a splash of apple cider vinegar to aid digestion. We take pride in making sure our chickens are happy and healthy.
We process all of our birds here on the farm as humanely as possible. They live their entire lives, save their first 2-3 days of life when they are shipped to us, on this farm. We freeze the carcasses after a 48 hour chill time to ensure unbeatable freshness from our farm to your fork.
Our laying hens are raised entirely on pasture foraging for bugs, grass, clover, and anything else they can lay a beak on. They are fed a non-GMO layer feed, and supplemented with organic feed wheat in the winter.
They roost in a mobile chickshaw, which is moved daily within their paddock of various sizes. The chickshaw utilizes the Best Nest Box™ that allows the egg, once laid, to roll down a gentle slope in an aluminum closure down to a tray clean and pristine. This method negates the need for washing our eggs. Consequently, we generally do not cold store most of our eggs.
We use storebought organic cow milk butter and infuse various herbs and other clean ingredients for a sumptuous addition to virtually any dish. We offer 3 delicious flavors sure to delight your palate.
For our sumptuous homemade ice cream, we turn to local farmers to source our raw goat milk. Goat milk generally digests better than cow milk does, especially for those who are sensitive to cow milk. Utilizing simple, but complementary ingredients, our ice cream tastes better than any found in the store. Available flavors include: vanilla, chocolate chocolate chip, blueberry, blackberry, fig, passion fruit, peach, plum, soursop, and strawberry. We are ever expanding our cold and creamy palatial flavors.
As is the case with many of our farm products, our homemade soap sprang from a desire to use clean, natural ingredients to boost our own health, and control the content of what we put on our skin.
Crafted in our own kitchen, our goat milk soaps are a blend of various plant-based oils, raw goat milk, essential oils for fragrance, plant- and mineral-based natural colorings, and sodium hydroxide. The goat milk is sourced through a local farmer. Just another way we can stay connected with our local farming network!
Who We Are
Skip and Heather Kizzire
We are absolutely delighted you are interested in learning more about us and our farm. My wife Heather and I met at our church back in 2014 or so. In 2018 we were married. The Lord knew exactly what He was doing when He brought us both together by His sovereign grace. Heather is indeed my soul-mate. Heather is originally from Waverly Hall, Georgia and grew up farming. I grew up in Birmingham, AL and my only experience of farm life was having cats and dogs as pets.
Our desire to cultivate a farm for ourselves stems from a few factors, not the least of which was our dedication to our faith and me being diagnosed with Hashimotos (a thyroid autoimmune disease).
My health issues drove us to be conscientious on knowing where our food comes from and eating cleaner foods. We were convinced that the best way to assure these two things was to grow the food ourselves using the farming method of Regenerative Agriculture. This method focuses on a farming style more suited to working with the land instead of against it… agriculture that seeks to regenerate the landscape instead of destroying it.
We are excited that you are joining us on this journey and we would not be here without your support. Please click the button below to get a full account of our story.
